Northern California Recycling Association Hosts A Workshop On Bay Area Recycling Jobs

Recycling Jobs In The San Francisco Bay AreaInterested in recycling?  Interested in getting paid to recycle without digging through other people's trash for bottles and cans?  The Northern California Recycling Association is hosting workshops to educate San Francisco Bay Area residents on job opportunities related to the recycling industry.

On July 11th the Ecology Center in Berkeley will host a recycling professionals panel discussion that will answer questions about entering the recycling job market.  Sheila Davis, Executive Director of the Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition; Monica Wilson US and Canada Program Director for GAIA; and Martin Bourque Executive Director of the Ecology Center will be the guest speakers.

Common questions will be addressed such as:

What are you looking for in a staff member? What skills and experience specifically are you looking for? Where do you post these jobs? How much do the jobs pay? What kind of work do staff do in these jobs? and much more depending on the workshop and its participants.

The event is free and Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

This is a great opportunity for people to learn about our San Francisco Bay Area recycling porgrams and the components that make the recycling business tick.  Much more goes into running the recycling business than just picking it up off the street and this is your chance to ask questions and of course eat some free pizza.  There will also be like-minded people to discuss green jobs with and network.
